The DIY mount gives those users who want to add their own accessories to their machine an easy option.
NOTE: This mount is ONLY for the Shapeoko 5 Pro, it will not fit other Shapeoko machines.
The DIY mount is made from annodized aluminum and includes a 4 M5 holes and 4 5mm holes for mounting accessories.
The real question is, why would you want to use a test indicator on your Shapeoko 5 Pro? Well, if you're doing any kind of precision work, you might need a good way to align a vise or a part to the machine axis. The test indicator is a great way to do that. If this doesn't make any sense to you, you don't need this mount.
